CKY-Flesh Into Gear
The music video starts on a shot of the band members crossing a field, there is a highly-saturated filter over the top.

The target audience for the song is older teenagers in the ABC1 grouping. This is because the music video has skating clips in, at the time skateboarding was an expensive hobby and predominately 16-21 year olds. The band is seen to have a low production value as it has a nitty look to the video, however they have a studio that some of the video is shot in. They look to take the music seriously by facial expressions and the serious clothing the band members wear.
Green Day-When I Come Around
Throughout the video it keeps going back to the three band members walking through a street,
it has a dark saturated colour pallet to the video. It is aimed at 16-20 year olds for the adult themes in the video. The band are made to look like they have high production value as the video has scenes with lots of props and actors/actresses. The band is serious in the video as they have everyday normal clothes on and have serious facial expressions

Terminology
Aspect Ratio is the relationship between the width and the height of your video dimensions expressed as a ratio. The most common aspect ratios for video are 4:3, 16:9 and 1.85:1.
Bit rate (also known as data rate) is the amount of data used for each second of video. In the world of video, this is generally measured in kilobits per second (kbps), and can be constant and variable.
Bokeh describes the character of the blur in an image, often used to specifically refer to points of light rendered as fuzzy circles.
Boom microphones are long, highly directional microphones. They are normally attached to boom poles to capture dialogue in a scene. They also can be mounted directly on cameras to capture long distance sound.
B-roll is supplemental footage that provides supporting details and greater flexibility when editing video. Common examples include the footage used to cut away from an interview or news report to help tell the story.
A Bounce refers to material used to literally bounce or reflect light onto your subject. Handy for evening out harsh shadows and dispersing light so it doesn't appear to be coming from a single source. Especially useful when shooting outside in the harsh sun and indoors with artificial light.
Close up is a shot composition where the frame is filled almost entirely with the subject's face.
A Codec is the method a computer uses to determine the amount of change between frames of a video.
Color Correction is when an editor digitally manipulates colors in post-production.

When I Come Around has narrative type video throughout and also has performance, the setting is a middle class town and is set in multiple rooms of houses (narrative), and the streets of the city (performance). The costumes are 'punk' with one of the band members wearing chains and another members hair dyed green. the sound is non-diegetic apart from the performance sections.
There is no main character in 'When I Come Around' it follows multiple people who each spy on another character, it will then transition to the next character.
The band is represented as alternative and punk because of the mise-en-scene of the video such as dark low key lighting, shabby scruffy costume and Green Day's performance style which is very emotionless and casual.
The target audience for the music video is teenagers with a low income in the ABCD2 grouping, this is because of the gritty setting and the themes in the video that this demographic can understand.

Initial Planning
CKY-Inhuman Creation Station
Lyrics:
Arriving in at work behind
Speed up the assembly line
Don't force units together
Follow the instruction sign
This isn't happening a fourth time
Work the parts responsibly
Piece them biologically
Release them incomplete
Barely will they think or breath
This isn't happening a fifth time
This blood is flowing through a warped mind
[Chorus]
See what's inside all the things you will find
Can you see yourself doing that?
When you're out on the move seeking something to prove
Can you see yourself doing that?
You were in their design
Just thrown into a mind
And the world becomes a path
Homicidal divide
Manufacturer's pride
In the wake of aftermath
(2:00)
Compatible reality
Forming separate entities
Dead heads and holy water
We instill the wants and needs
Work with the team to meet the deadline
Modern man cannot survive
Drowning in formaldehyde
Inhuman creation station
That's where we control your lives
And it's been happening since the dawn of time
This blood's still flowing through a warped mind
[Chorus]
See what's inside all the things you will find
Can you see yourself doing that?
When you're out on the move seeking something to prove
Can you see yourself doing that?
You were in their design
Just thrown into a mind
And the world becomes a path
Homicidal divide
Manufacturer's pride
In the wake of aftermath
I think it's about the process of indoctrinating society with morals, and not encouraging people to question authority, where morals come from, or why (or why not) the morals we imbue our children with are right or necessary. After awhile it just becomes easy to keep passing down the same morals from generation to generation, whether or not we find them wholly agreeable. It's also saying that people wouldn't naturally choose these morals for themselves necessarily, and that we have to mould peoples minds to keep them in line with society.
My immediate ideas are, a queue of zombies slowly walking, some close up shots of skating and some performance in the centre of an abandoned factory. I want to use B-roll shots to establish the setting and atmosphere at the beginning.
I want it to be shot at a rundown area, there is a place relatively nearby i can use. For the B-roll shots at the beginning I will go to various abandoned places.
I will need a guitar and other band equipment for the performance scenes, other than this i shouldn't need anything.
I will need multiple actors, I have casted a few of my close friends to skate but i will need 'band members' and a few to form a queue of zombies.
