Shot Composition

L/O: To understand the basic rules of shot composition.

The rule of thirds:

the rule of thirds help improve some images as they fill up some of the background.

These photos don't follow the rule of thirds:

Photographing people:

  • Looking Room
  • Head Room
  • Eye Level
  • Leading Lines

peer assessed by Rhys

NTT: on the shot looking to the side you need to have more room on the side your looking hello its me

I think this is a great photo because it has symmetry and patterns and the lighting is very sastifying

I think this is a good photo because they really thought about the angle and Leading Lines.

  1. They all use similar fonts
  2. All use popular newly released/upcoming games
  3. They use the same dark colour pallets

Style Guide:

There are 3 different font styles, the cover lines look different because of font colour and sometimes a change in font.  The cover lines are block caps, the cover line font is angular. they are organised like a square around the main images face.

What is Media?

Monday 12th September 2016

L/O: To define what media is and how it impacts our lives.

Media
"The main means of mass communication"

Types of Media:
Social Media
Video Games
Apps
TV shows
Advertisement
Radio
Blogging
Magazines
Vlogs
Films

Newspaper
Texting
Websites

The main purpose of media is to make money

Media Influence

Media influences me, if I see a you-tuber promoting a product more often than not I will save up money to buy said product. It also influences me to wear a certain product because someone I'm interested in is wearing them, there will often be trends mainly because of media and famous people promoting them.

I think media is powerful. If one of my friends see something on Facebook they will almost always believe it, every other day someone will come into school telling everyone the world going to end.

1. The media shouldn't be allowed to embarrass or humiliate people.

I feel like if you put something online of yourself and get embarrassed or humiliated for that then you have put yourself in that hole yourself so therefore it is your fault if people humiliate you for it.
However cyberbullying is just cruel and uncalled for because you are making someone dreading logging in to their favourite social media because you are going to be bullying them on it.

8. The media we consume should be carefully controlled.

The media we consume should be carefully controlled as young children could be seeing some very nasty stuff online especially now shock sharing is a thing. There is a surplus of false information online which people consume not looking into it for more than five seconds. In conclusion I think that there needs to be some method of control, however what youtube have done to there community guidelines is ridiculous and way too over the top.
